Entes vivientes que te acompañan a lo largo de la vida, aquellos que más que hermanos aligeran la carga del día a día, llenándote de fortalecimiento. Ahora bien necesito liberar lo que actualmente estoy sintiendo. Yo soy una persona que realmente demanda mucho, una característica que he aprendido a dominar, no en totalidad, pero hay que empezar por algo.
Hoy presentó su tesis uno de mis mejores amigos, el no poder llegar a ver su presentación me hizo sentir muy mal, pero de repente un sentimiento me invadió y podría decir que me dijo o me dije “él no te necesita allí, tu estás para él en cada momento que te necesito, estate tranquilo”, para mi fue como un alivio, y estuve mucho rato pegando la oreja a la puerta tratando de escuchar como le iba. Hubo un punto en el que le dije a mi compadre, que deseaba estar en el puesto de jonathan con mi propia tesis. Mi compa me dijo, “en su momento compa, pasara”, yo quedé si, es cierto :s y otro sentimiento me invadió, mis amigos cada uno esta agarrando su camino, por el camino que voy con mi tesis es muy probable que presente muy tarde y ellos ya se están yendo de la ciudad. Andrea y Raúl ya agarraron para el IVIC, Panamá, Patricia y Jonathan agarraran para la capital en septiembre. Agradezco al cielo que Javier, Jhosnel, Silvia, Gisell, Chela y Lenin estarán aquí y me acompañaran. Verlos a ellos me dará mucho apoyo, además se que mitch, maría e irama también estarán. Todo a su momento, únicamente me toca esperar y tener la esperanza que las cosas sigan surgiendo como van. Me deseo mucho éxito!!!

This digital project by Paris-based photographer Thierry Cohen is an imaginative tale about how urban landscapes might appear if we turned out all of the lights. In a big city glowing with street lamps, store signs, car headlights, and rows of illuminated apartment buildings, it’s almost impossible to see the stars in the sky. One project review says, “Atmospheric and light pollution combine to make looking into the urban sky like looking past bright headlights while driving.”
To bring a sense of nature back into these environments, Cohen has taken a bit of a scientific approach. He travels to places free from light pollution and captures the skies that rotate on the same axis as the urban skylines. Those same skies that were at some point visible above the cities are then superimposed into the darkened cityscapes.
The result is Darkened Cities, Cohen’s project in which cold, dark, and desolate cityscapes sit below these atmospheric wonders overhead. In a sense, Cohen is bringing a forgotten nature back into these places. His darkened landscapes are a frightening visual of what it might look like if a city had to be completely shut down. His images are a reminder of the magical beauty of nature and through this project, he encourages viewers to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and to appreciate—most importantly, not take for granted—the natural world around us.
